Both land at nearly the same price on amazon.ca: IMFit at $169.95 CAD, MOTIONGREY at $168.99 CAD. That $0.96 gap is functionally nothing. The price dimension is a draw by any honest measure.
Weight range and increments
Both sets run 5 to 52.5 lbs across 15 settings. IMFit steps in 2.5 lb increments up to 25 lbs, then shifts to 5 lb jumps beyond that. MOTIONGREY uses the same dial-based 15-setting system with comparable increment structure. Neither set has a meaningful edge here, though the finer 2.5 lb steps in the lower range are genuinely useful for shoulder and isolation work.
Build and dial reliability
This is where the two diverge. IMFit's dial mechanism has a documented sticking problem: real owner reports describe needing to jiggle the dumbbell back into the tray before the dial will turn, and a smaller number of users report plates coming loose under load. IMFit does publish a troubleshooting guide for dial rotation issues, which tells you this is a known pattern, not a freak occurrence. MOTIONGREY specifies a solid steel core handle and reinforced plate molding in PP and nylon. Both use plastic selector components, which is the structural weakness shared by this entire product category. Neither survives drops well.
The honest thing to say about dial-based adjustable dumbbells at this price: plastic selector disks are the failure point for every set in this class. Buy either one knowing you set them down, you don't drop them.

IMFit bundles two hand grip strengtheners and two jump ropes. MOTIONGREY pairs adds two hand grips, two jump ropes, and two performance towels. The towels are a minor add, but MOTIONGREY's pair listing includes them at the same price point, making it slightly better value as a complete kit.
